Been jogging the Bay Run in preparation for the City to Surf? It may pay to take your eyes off the scenery for a moment and check out some of the surrounding real estate, with suburbs bordering the bay currently offering excellent growth potential. Rozelle, Lilyfield, Leichardt, Haberfield, Russel Lea and Drummoyne all feature a good selection of reasonably priced freestanding homes and have become highly popular with those upgrading.
With the first home buyer boom pushing up prices for entry level properties, young families in need of more space would be well advised to make their move now. The next tier of properties is already starting to move forward and strong growth is likely in the coming months.
Buying in a quality location always pays dividends and these popular bayside suburbs are unlikely to ever go out of fashion. In the long term a patch of land by the bay is sure to be an increasingly valuable commodity.
